Scooby Snack

It’s FINALLY FRIDAY!  Can you believe we made it through the week?  It’s been a busy week here at my house.  More doctors appointments for my daughter.  She is a little nugget and we are hopefully starting to sort her out a bit.

I definitely look forward to my adult beverage Friday posts.  It’s fun to mix up something that I normally wouldn’t.  The boozy Friday posts get me out of my comfort zone of red wine and beer.  I used to mix more drinks, but then again, that was before kids.

This alcoholic beverage is perfect to serve to your friends on St. Patrick’s Day.  It’s brilliantly bright green and is yummy!  It’s also good any other time of year, so don’t be dismayed at the fact that it’s green.  It will taste just as scrumptious on New Years Eve and Halloween (or any day of the year) as it does on St. Patty’s Day, trust me.

If you are anything like me, it’s been awhile since you’ve had the need to break out your shaker and your fun shot glasses.  I got the Maui one when I was in Hawaii my freshman year of college.  I got the official Presidential seal one when my hubby and I vacationed in D.C. when we were maybe married for about 2  years and didn’t have kids yet.

Does it sounds like my life was more exciting and interesting before kids?  It was.  Now we just have sports practice, doctor’s appointments, and birthday parties instead of impromptu vacations and late nights drinking with friends.  Don’t worry, I love my kids and I don’t mind the sports practices, doctor’s appointments, and birthday parties.  I just sometimes like to reminisces about the days with less responsibility.  There are definitely some memorial nights drinking these pre-kids.  ENJOY and drink responsibly!
